FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Honest answers to the questions we hear most often from businesses considering a bespoke CRM.
Cost & Pricing
Most projects fall between £25,000 and £150,000, depending on complexity, number of integrations, and team size. We produce a fixed-price proposal after a paid discovery workshop, so you know the exact investment before any commitment.
You own the source code outright, so there are no licence or per-seat fees. Optional support plans start from £500 per month for ongoing maintenance, security updates, and feature enhancements. The 3-month post-launch warranty is included at no extra charge.
Per-seat SaaS fees compound over time. For teams of 20+ people, a bespoke CRM typically costs 40–60% less over a three-year horizon than enterprise SaaS, while giving you full ownership and no vendor lock-in. Our pricing page has a detailed comparison.
Process & Timeline
Most projects take 8 to 24 weeks from discovery to launch, depending on scope. A focused single-department CRM typically takes 8–12 weeks; a multi-department system with complex integrations takes 16–24 weeks. We define the timeline during the discovery workshop.
We spend one to two days with your team mapping workflows, compliance obligations, integration requirements, and pain points. The output is a structured requirements document and a fixed-price proposal. Discovery is a paid engagement (£2,500–£4,000) to ensure both sides are committed.
Our process front-loads requirements definition to minimise mid-build changes. Minor scope changes are absorbed within the agreed budget. Significant additions are quoted as change requests and approved by you before we proceed.
Yes. We work in fortnightly sprints with a staging environment you can access at any time. You review and approve at every milestone. There is no disappearing for months and hoping for the best.
Ownership & Technology
Yes, completely. The source code is delivered to your version control repository at handover. You can take it to any development team in the future. There is no lock-in.
On infrastructure you control. That can be your own cloud account (AWS, Azure, GCP), an on-premise server, or a UK-based hosting provider. We deploy to your infrastructure, not ours. Full data sovereignty.
We use Next.js, React, TypeScript, NestJS, PostgreSQL, and Prisma. Every project uses the same battle-tested architecture, which means your system benefits from patterns refined across multiple client deployments. We do not use exotic or one-off technology.
Support & Compliance
No. The 3-month warranty covers defects at no charge. After that, support plans are entirely optional. We recommend them for business-critical systems, but they are not mandatory.
GDPR requirements are built into the data model from day one: consent management, data subject access requests, right to erasure, and audit trails. We do not retrofit compliance as an afterthought.
Yes. While we are headquartered in London, most of our projects are delivered entirely remotely. We work with regulated organisations across the UK, Europe, North America, and beyond. For international engagements, we adjust our meeting schedule to accommodate your time zone, and we are happy to travel on-site for key workshops when it adds genuine value to the project.
You own the code, the documentation, and the deployment. Support plans are rolling monthly with no lock-in period. We hand over everything cleanly and wish you well. Our goal is to build relationships worth keeping, not contracts that trap.
